Highland Getaway Farm Stay is located in a peaceful country setting in the Huon Valley, in Southern Tasmania, just a scenic 35 minute drive from Hobart Airport.
The working farm is breeding the most gorgeous Highland Cattle, with some friendly alpacas and
silkie chickens too.
Once you arrive you won’t want to leave. The glorious views and stylish accommodation is unique, and then there is the verandah and spa.
Highland Getaway is an animal lovers dream, and endless photographic opportunities.
Farm tours are a unique experience for guests to walk amongst, brush and photograph my Highland cattle and their calves and alpacas. Some people say its a therapeutic experience being able to get up so close to these gorgeous majestic creatures.
Offering two self-contained private suites and also the converted original smaller house into a Farm Stay for families or groups traveling together.
Farm Tour’s are available at times when the accommodation isn’t booked.
You’ll get up close to some gorgeous Highland Cattle and their calves and even brush them, as well as visiting some friendly alpacas. Its a unique experience with numbers limited to 10 people as transport around the property is in a couple of 6 seater ATVs.
Julie share’s with you knowledge on farming and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to ask lots of questions and take lots of photos too.
Allow 2 hour’s for the tour. Gumboots are supplied and your camera is a must bring.
